Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Grisham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Jorgensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Grisham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Jorgensen! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grisham stuffs the takedown. Grisham is looking to clinch. Grisham looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jorgensen is fending him off so far but Grisham persists. Nope, Jorgensen circles away and we're back to standing. Grisham really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Grisham tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Grisham slaps away a takedown attempt from Jorgensen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jorgensen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jorgensen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Grisham. That one must have hurt. No luck for Grisham with that takedown attempt. Grisham dives in and scores a takedown into Jorgensen's guard. Jorgensen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grisham!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jorgensen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Grisham is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Grisham and Jorgensen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jorgensen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Jorgensen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grisham, who protects the arm well. Grisham is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jorgensen asserts his dominance and retains side control. Grisham is looking to regain half guard here but Jorgensen keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grisham takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Grisham taking a bit of punishment here - Jorgensen scoring with strikes. Grisham tries to improve position but can't. Jorgensen landing strikes. Jorgensen landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Jorgensen is putting a hurting on Grisham here, landing some big shots from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jorgensen is looking to take a break and control but Grisham is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Grisham prevents Jorgensen from moving into mount. You can see the frustration on Grisham's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jorgensen working the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grisham taking punishment in the form of punches.
Grisham is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jorgensen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Grisham is not content to let Jorgensen control the position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jorgensen misses with a head shot. Grisham uses the momentum to regain guard. Jorgensen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jorgensen wants to pass the guard but Grisham is keeping the position. Jorgensen advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jorgensen missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jorgensen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jorgensen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Grisham works his way to full guard. Good work. Jorgensen trying to control but Grisham is working from the bottom. Grisham looking to sweep here. No luck so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grisham trying to control the position.
Jorgensen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grisham swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jorgensen stands up over Grisham, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jorgensen looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Jorgensen dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jorgensen shoots in for a double leg but Grisham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Grisham misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Grisham. Grisham has a takedown stuffed. Jorgensen fails to land the takedown. Jorgensen shoots in but no luck this time. John Grisham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Jorgensen. Grisham cracks a nice hook into Jorgensen's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jorgensen blocks a head kick by Grisham.
Grisham looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Grisham throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jorgensen's waist but Jorgensen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grisham off to one side. Grisham looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grisham is looking to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Grisham as Jorgensen shoots in. Grisham tries for a takedown but Jorgensen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. John Grisham is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jorgensen dodges the punch combination from Grisham.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grisham tries to clinch up. Grisham scores with a push kick. Grisham scores with a kick to the body.
Jorgensen slaps away a takedown attempt from Grisham, before circling back to the center of the mat. Grisham leaves Jorgensen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jorgensen fails to land the takedown. Grisham looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jorgensen is fending him off so far but Grisham persists. Nope, Jorgensen circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jorgensen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Grisham tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jorgensen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jorgensen looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Grisham working for a triangle but Jorgensen defends it easily.
Jorgensen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jorgensen stopping the sweep attempt from Grisham. Grisham will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Grisham keeping moving, preventing Jorgensen from controlling successfully. Grisham is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jorgensen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jorgensen is looking to work some ground and pound but Grisham has wrist control. Grisham controls Jorgensen momentarily but Jorgensen frees himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jorgensen landing some decent shots from guard. Jorgensen advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that John Grisham will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Grisham moves into the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Grisham - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jorgensen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Grisham jumps guard and drags Jorgensen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Grisham working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jorgensen. Jorgensen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grisham is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jorgensen, into his guard. Jorgensen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jorgensen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Grisham throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jorgensen's body to avoid the submission. Jorgensen has instead reached around Grisham's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jorgensen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Scott Jorgensen!
