Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lane Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Staph Aureus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost's entrance music is 8 second ride (Jake Owen). A fine choice. Lane Frost could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Staph Aureus's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost closes the distance and clinches up with Aureus, looking for a takedown. Frost pushes Aureus against the cage but Aureus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Frost lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Staph Aureus has been cut.
Frost scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Frost stuffs the takedown.
Frost looks for a takedown but Aureus sprawls well.
Frost scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Aureus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frost bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Lane Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frost pivots, looking for a leg kick but Aureus is out of range and Frost settles back down.
Frost moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Aureus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Frost tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aureus was well out of range. Poor timing from Frost.

Aureus tries to close the distance and clinch but Frost swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Frost shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aureus is trying to defend but Frost finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Frost is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aureus is just riding it out for now. Frost eventually gives up the hold.
Frost with the ground and pound but Aureus uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Frost might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Aureus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Frost postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Frost drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aureus manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Frost has Aureus in his guard.
Aureus postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Frost is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aureus is aware though and is defending well.

Frost has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Aureus has passed into side control.
Frost looks to move to half guard but instead Aureus has passed into mount! Damn!
Frost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aureus on the ground.

Frost is breathing heavily.
Aureus fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Aureus postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Frost looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aureus has hold of Frost's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Frost manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Aureus has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Frost's face.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Frost on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Frost tries to get out of the position.
Aureus breaks from Frost's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lane Frost will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Staph Aureus's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Frost misses the shot to the body.
Aureus throws a lazy right hand but Frost sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Aureus takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nice shot lands for Aureus.
Frost tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aureus swivels and escapes.
Aureus slips under a jab.
Aureus shoots in looking for a takedown. Frost tries to sprawl out of it but Aureus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Frost manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Aureus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Aureus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Frost checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Aureus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Frost avoids it really well and circles away.
Frost misses with a low kick.

Frost closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aureus's guard.
Frost looking to pass the guard.
Frost drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Aureus dives on top into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Frost looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Aureus has picked Frost up and slammed him! Frost can't keep hold of the triangle and Aureus manages to pass to side control!
Frost takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Aureus works to advance to full mount. Frost defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Frost is desperately trying to improve his position but Aureus has a good base and remains in mount.

Aureus looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Frost covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
