Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Benji Breaker! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Breaker as he jumps to the side. Benji Breaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Breaker throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely. Breaker gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Breaker trying to pass the guard but Jackson defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Breaker has control of the leg. Breaker blocks the strikes from Jackson.
Well, if Breaker is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Breaker looks gassed! Jackson gets back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is looking to sinch up a triangle. Breaker throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jackson's body to avoid the submission. Jackson has instead reached around Breaker's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jackson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Anderson Jackson!
