Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Fadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Luutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fadden comes to the cage accompanied by From Hell by Faces Of Mars. Luutch is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: job2 do - doo doo doo. Larry Luutch has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Fadden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry Luutch!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Jack Fadden has been cut.
Fadden avoids the body shot from Luutch.
Luutch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fadden swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Luutch connects with a nasty looking knee right to Fadden's face.
Fadden is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Luutch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fadden as he avoids it easily.
Larry Luutch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luutch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fadden is fending him off so far but Luutch persists. Nope, Fadden circles away and we're back to standing.

Luutch moves into the clinch.
Luutch wants a takedown.
Luutch connects with a knee to the head.

Fadden jumps guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Luutch decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fadden, up you get!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Luutch wants to control but Fadden is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fadden throws an elbow that misses. Luutch uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fadden's guard. Nice move by Luutch!

Luutch has gone for a leg lock! Fadden slips out almost immediately though and dives into Luutch's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fadden got a little sloppy there for a moment and Luutch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fadden has managed to get both his arms back between Luutch's legs - danger averted.
Luutch manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Luutch is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fadden to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fadden shrugs it off.

Luutch looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Luutch jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fadden is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fadden and Luutch has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Luutch is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fadden knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fadden is trying to improve his position.
Fadden wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Luutch looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Fadden keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Luutch takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Luutch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fadden tries to avoid it but Luutch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fadden to the ground. Fadden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
