Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Magus Arbenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Roy struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Magus Arbenson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Roy with that takedown attempt.
Roy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Arbenson feints and then cracks Roy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Roy down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Arbenson in particular looking to stall.
Arbenson uses his free foot to push down on Roy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Roy.

Arbenson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Roy is surviving well by controlling Arbenson's body position as best he can.

Roy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arbenson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Roy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Arbenson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Roy.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Roy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Roy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
