Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bolbee VonStreudal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). VonStreudal comes into the arena with Oompa Loompa blaring out of the sound system. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bolbee VonStreudal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jong Bak!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

VonStreudal drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bak dives on top into guard.

VonStreudal had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bak defends it easily.

Bak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bak wants to control from the top but VonStreudal keeps moving.

Bak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bak manages to get an easy takedown there - catching VonStreudal on his heels. He'll look to pass VonStreudal's guard now, I'm sure.

Bak stands and steps away. VonStreudal gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bak changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. VonStreudal looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bak wants to lay and pray for a moment but VonStreudal keeps working.
Bak tries to move to mount but VonStreudal blocks the move with his legs.
VonStreudal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bak wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bak advances nicely into full mount.

Bak stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
VonStreudal is breathing heavily.

Bak decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
VonStreudal ducks right into an uppercut from Bak.
VonStreudal fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
VonStreudal is not content to let Bak control the position.
VonStreudal wants to control but Bak is keeping busy.

Bak is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and VonStreudal defends it well.
Bak looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

VonStreudal is refusing to be controlled, as Bak sits in half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bak tightens his grip and picks VonStreudal up, before dumping him to the ground. VonStreudal manages to land in guard.

VonStreudal is working an open guard so Bak takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bak tries to clinch but VonStreudal moves out of range.
VonStreudal avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
VonStreudal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bak swivels and escapes.
VonStreudal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bak is trying hard to land a takedown here. VonStreudal sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bak seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Bak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as VonStreudal sprawls well. VonStreudal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bak gets slowly back to his feet.

VonStreudal closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Jong Bak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bak clobbers VonStreudal with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bolbee VonStreudal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A momentary lapse in concentration from VonStreudal enables Bak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. VonStreudal manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bak's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Jong Bak has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bak forces VonStreudal back against the cage and clinches.
VonStreudal is trying to drag Bak to the mat but Bak just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bolbee VonStreudal. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd cheers as Bak lands an impressive looking overhand right. VonStreudal doesn't seem phased though.
VonStreudal walks into a stiff left hand from Bak.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bak lunges at VonStreudal with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by VonStreudal's hand.
VonStreudal shoots in looking for a takedown. Bak tries to sprawl out of it but VonStreudal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bak connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bak cracks VonStreudal with an open hand slap.
Bak thows a body shot but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jong Bak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



VonStreudal gets caught flat footed, as Bak shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
VonStreudal tries to land a sweep but no joy.

VonStreudal has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bak doesn't defend quickly enough and VonStreudal has managed to lock this one up! Can Bak escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to VonStreudal on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bolbee VonStreudal!
