Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slither by Velvet Revolver kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Jones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pain.
Pain shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.

Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pain looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mike Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Jones finds it's way through Pain's defenses.
Pain shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.

Pain dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Pain's head and hops out.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pain. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pain has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pain drops his hands momentarily and Jones takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Pain might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Pain takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Pain takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Pain takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pain on the side of the head.
No luck for Pain with that takedown attempt.
Brian Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jones feints a jab promting Pain to slip. Jones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pain slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pain. Pain circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Pain on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Pain takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones.
Pain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pain closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Pain pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones lands with a straight right. Pain didn't see that one coming.
Jones punishes Pain's body with a nice straight punch.
Pain walks into a straight right hand from Jones.

Pain has a takedown stuffed.
Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pain.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Pain looking to score a takedown here. Jones is defending well but Pain drives through and ends up in Jones's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Pain drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pain has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Pain's legs - danger averted.

Pain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jones connects with a single shot there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pain is defended easily by Jones.
Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jones stuns Pain with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pain off to one side.
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones connects with a body shot that sends Pain's belly button to the back.
Pain gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a nice body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jones jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brian Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
