Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dotson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Palito Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dotson comes to the cage accompanied by Motor Mouth. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dotson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gomez counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Dan Dotson has been cut.
Gomez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dotson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gomezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gomez misses with a head kick.
Gomez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gomez dodges the punch combination from Dotson.
Dotson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dotson fails to land with a series of punches.
Dotson staying out of range there.
Gomez throws an off balance right hand
and Dotson counters with a three punch combo that has Gomez backing up. Gomez nods at Dotson to acknowledge the strikes.
Dotson avoids the head kick by Gomez.
Gomez throws a big shot that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dotson.

Dotson gets a clinch.
Gomez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dotson has him pressed against the cage.

Dotson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Dotson works his foot free and advances to mount.

Dotson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gomez manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dotson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dotson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gomez!

Dotson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Gomez has his hands clasped together but Dotson breaks the hold and Gomez is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Dotson!
