The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaw throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Spyridon on the side of the head.
It looks like Leon Spyridon has been cut.
Spyridon fails with a takedown attempt.

Diaw ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jab, jab by Diaw - just one landing.
Diaw pivots, looking for a leg kick but Spyridon is out of range and Diaw settles back down.

Spyridon misses with a takedown attempt
and Diaw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Diaw attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Spyridon throws a solid leg kick but Diaw takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Spyridon.
Hakeem Diaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Diaw throws out a powerful jab.
Diaw sends Spyridon crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Diaw is motioning to the referee to let Spyridon up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
