Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, D J Benn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Orlov!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Orlov is defended easily by Benn.
Benn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Orlov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Some wild striking there from Benn.
Benn misses with a looping right.

Orlov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Orlov is putting a hurting on Benn here, landing some big shots from side control.
Benn wants to get back to his feet but Orlov drags him back down.
Benn defending against the ground and pound.
Benn sneaks back into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Benn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Benn wants to stand but Orlov is controlling the position.
Orlov trying to control but Benn is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orlov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Benn manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Orlov has Benn in his guard.

Orlov is looking for a triangle here but Benn uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Orlov looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Benn misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Orlov is trying to improve his position.
Orlov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Orlov seems a little lost for a moment, as Benn dominates the positioning.

Benn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Benn trying to control the position but Orlov is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Benn is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Orlov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Benn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Benn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Benn postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Benn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Orlov has escaped the position, nice work there.
Orlov is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Orlov struggling a bit here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Orlov throws a sloppy strike and Benn has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Orlov is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Benn!
