Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvin Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Ortiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alvin Hansson! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Hansson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hansson stands up from Ortiz's guard - Hansson perhaps looking for a knockout. Hansson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz avoids it really well and circles away. Ortiz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hansson is fending him off so far but Ortiz persists. Nope, Hansson circles away and we're back to standing. Ortiz is breathing heavily. Hansson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hansson lands a decent elbow from side control. Hansson trying to control the position but Ortiz is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansson taking a breather here. Ortiz is not content to let Hansson control the position. Hansson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alvin Hansson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hansson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hansson moves into the clinch successfully.
Hansson manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hansson wants to stand and escape but Ortiz is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ortiz won't allow Hansson to sweep him here. Ortiz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hansson trying to keep a closed guard but Ortiz is proving a slippery customer.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Alvin Hansson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ortiz throws a series of punches but Hansson moves out of range. Ortiz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hansson drives through with a takedown into guard. Hansson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alvin Hansson. Hansson tries for a takedown but Ortiz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hansson digs a good hook to Ortiz's body.
Hansson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz avoids it really well and circles away. Pablo Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alvin Hansson. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ortiz shoots in looking for a takedown. Hansson tries to sprawl out of it but Ortiz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hansson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Hansson lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Hansson looking for a takedown. Hansson holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Ortiz jumps guard but Hansson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hansson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hansson clinches up with Ortiz and pushes him back against the cage. Ortiz wants to take the fight to the mat but Hansson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hansson goes for a takedown attempt but Ortiz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ortiz gets tackled into the cage by Hansson. Hansson maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hansson pulls guard successfully.
Ortiz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hansson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ortiz, into his guard. Hansson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansson is pushing down on Ortiz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ortiz is fighting to maintain full guard but Hansson has managed to sneak the leg through. Hansson is pressing down on Ortiz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ortiz is holding on for now. Hansson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hansson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hansson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ortiz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hansson with shots to the head and body - Ortiz looks very uncomfortable down there. Ortiz wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansson looking for the RNC. Ortiz preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Hansson. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A bit of a pause in the action here. Hansson controlling the positon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alvin Hansson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hansson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ortiz swats away the attempt to clinch by Hansson. Ortiz misses with a takedown attempt - Hansson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ortiz shoots in for a takedown but Hansson shows good takedown defense. Hansson misses with a double jab.
Pablo Ortiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hansson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ortiz tries to avoid it but Hansson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ortiz to the ground. Ortiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hansson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ortiz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansson throws a series of strikes that have Ortiz backpedaling.
Hansson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ortiz's guard. Hansson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hansson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hansson is looking to work some ground and pound but Ortiz has wrist control. Hansson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ortiz keeping moving, preventing Hansson from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alvin Hansson. Hansson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hansson drives through with a takedown into guard. Hansson wants to control from the top but Ortiz keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alvin Hansson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ortiz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hansson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ortiz's best efforts.

Ortiz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ortiz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hansson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ortiz is working Hansson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hansson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hansson looking to control.
Ortiz looking to pass the guard. Ortiz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hansson is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hansson controlling the position. Ortiz wants to stand but Hansson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansson is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hansson trying to control but Ortiz is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Alvin Hansson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hansson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
