Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Buckingham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Machin! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machin on the wrong end of a nice jab. Machin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buckingham counters with a nice leg kick. Machin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buckingham on his heels. He'll look to pass Buckingham's guard now, I'm sure. Buckingham on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Buckingham tries to get out of the position. Machin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Machin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Buckingham is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Machin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Machin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Buckingham will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Buckingham wants to control but Machin postures up. Machin controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Buckingham's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Machin misses with an attempted head punch from side control. That's two minutes gone in the round. Machin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Machin is trying to get an arm triangle but Buckingham is defending well. Buckingham is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Buckingham's face as Machin controls the position. Buckingham knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machin on the ground. Machin throwing shots but Buckingham is blocking nicely. Buckingham moves into full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Machin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Buckingham is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Machin pushes Buckingham up against the cage in a clinch. Machin on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Patrick Buckingham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Machin. Buckingham lands an elbow inside that Machin shrugs off.
