Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Butrovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Pierson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierson throws a right and a left that Butrovic avoids nicely.

Pierson tries to sprawl but Butrovic drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Butrovic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pierson tries to avoid it but Butrovic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pierson to the ground. Pierson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Butrovic dives in and grabs Pierson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pierson pushes down on Butrovic's head and hops out.
Hannibal Butrovic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Butrovic closes the distance and clinches up with Pierson, looking for a takedown. Butrovic pushes Pierson against the cage but Pierson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pierson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Butrovic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pierson has managed to get both his arms back between Butrovic's legs - danger averted.
Butrovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pierson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Butrovic has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pierson's face.

Pierson is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Butrovic postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Pierson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Butrovic around the waist but Butrovic pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Butrovic is the winner by TKO! Butrovic jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
