Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between War Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raven Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine's entrance music is Party Rock - LMFAO. A fine choice. The key to victory for War Machine has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Machine misses with an uppercut
and Fury counters with a nice body shot.
Machine misses with a left hand
and Fury counters with a thumping low kick.
Fury takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Machine counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Raven Fury has been cut.
Machine connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Machine fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fury throws a low kick, looking for Machine's leg but Machine calmly moves out of range.

Fury shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fury was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fury is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Machine has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Fury wants to control the action but instead Machine gets a body lock and reverses into Fury's guard! Nice work!
Fury wants to stand but Machine is controlling the position.
Machine passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Machine tries to advance to mount but Fury denies him.

Machine tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Machine decides to stand back up. Machine steps back and let's Fury get back to his feet.

Fury uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machine.
Machine throws a jab but it's blocked by Fury.
A nice combination there by Machine.
War Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fury throws a leg kick that misses.
Machine leaves Fury with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No joy there for Machine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fury dives in and grabs Machine's left leg, looking for a takedown. Machine pushes down on Fury's head and hops out.

Machine misses with a wild combination.
Machine throws an overhand right that lands on Fury's shoulder, as Fury tries to avoid the shot.
Machine checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Machine looks to score with a jab to the body but Fury is just out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Machine.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Machine checks a leg kick.
Machine stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fury.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fury.
A big left from Machine misses.
Machine throws a lazy right hand but Fury sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Machine lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That has opened up Raven Fury's cut even more.
Machine getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Machine misses with a hook. Fury ducked under it nicely.
Fury will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fury shoots in and bounces Machine off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Fury slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fury looking to sit in guard and control but Machine gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Machine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fury has a closed guard, preventing Machine from standing up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Raven Fury wasn't active enough on the ground.
Fury throws a low kick but it's checked well by Machine.

Machine connects with a right hand. Fury shakes it off.
Fury keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Machine.
Fury fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Machine.
Machine cracks Fury with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The cut above Raven Fury's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Machine lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fury cracks the inside of Machine's front leg.
Fury uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machine.
Machine throws a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fury shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Fury jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Machine is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Machine and Fury has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
You can see the frustration on Machine's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fury working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fury works to advance to full mount. Machine defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Machine tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fury was well out of range. Poor timing from Machine.
The fighters circling - Machine throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Machine throws a shot from downtown. Fury moves away and avoids it.
Fury throws a quick inside leg kick.
Machine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Machine avoids the body shot from Fury.
Machine throws out a loose jab but Fury uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fury shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fury is looking to land body kicks.
Fury shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machine pinned against the ropes. Machine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd cheers as Machine lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fury doesn't seem phased though.

Raven Fury's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fury fails with a takedown attempt.
War Machine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raven Fury.
Machine scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fury doesn't seem bothered though.
