Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiibo Miyazawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Machida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kiibo Miyazawa! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machida feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Miyazawa is trying to keep Machida in close.
Machida loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miyazawa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Machida trying to control the position from guard on top but Miyazawa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miyazawa seems keen to control Machida's posture.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Miyazawa gets tackled into the cage by Machida. Machida maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyazawa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Machida is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Miyazawa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Machida breaks the clinch.
Machida fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Miyazawa, pushing him back against the cage. Machida prevents the takedown attempt.
Miyazawa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Machida pulls his leg out and moves away.
Roberto Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiibo Miyazawa. Miyazawa misses the shot to the body. Miyazawa tries for a takedown but Machida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Machida fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Miyazawa sprawls well initially but Machida persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Machida is just content to waste time from the top position. Miyazawa takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Machida trying to move into half guard but instead Miyazawa has managed to sweep!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miyazawa postures up in Machida's guard and throws a big left but Machida blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machida looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miyazawa has picked Machida up and slammed him! Machida can't keep hold of the triangle and Miyazawa manages to pass to side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! You can see the frustration on Machida's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Miyazawa trying to control the position but Machida is working away. Machida can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Machida is trying to strike from the bottom but Miyazawa has passed into full mount. Miyazawa working Machida over with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miyazawa with good strikes from the mount here! Machida wants to control but Miyazawa is having none of it. Machida is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Machida tries to lock up and control but Miyazawa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Machida has left one of his arms exposed and Miyazawa doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Machida screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
