Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Z Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mann's choice of entrance music: Birdland. Z Mann has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Z Mann! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir tries for a takedown but Mann sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mann missing with a left hand there. Mir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mir ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mir takes the fight into the clinch. Mann is looking to break free of the clinch but Mir has double underhooks. Mir is looking to take this one to the mat. Mir pulls guard. Mir manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mann manages to get himself to full guard.

Mann will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mir would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mann keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mann holds on and takes a little breather. Mann trying to keep a closed guard but Mir is proving a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Z Mann. Mir is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. Frank Mir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mir throws a right and a left that Mann avoids nicely. Mann looks to throw the jab but Mir is out of range. Mir tries for a takedown but Mann sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mir takes one to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mann paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mir slips under a jab. Mir misses with a body kick. Mir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mann but Mann pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mir is looking to clinch. Mir fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mann moves into range and connects with a jab. Mir fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mir closes the distance looking to clinch and Mann counters with a right hand to the body. Mir is breathing heavily. Mann takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir misses with a takedown attempt and Mann counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Mann closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mir's guard. Mann content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mann lands a couple of digs. Mann looking to pass the guard. Mann working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mann postures up.
Mann content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Mann trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mann throwing strikes but missing. Mir has momentary wrist control but Mann slips an elbow through the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mann passes into half guard. Mir is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mann scores with a couple of nice shots. Ground and pound from Mann. Mir wants to get back to his feet. Mir avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mann. Mann working over Mir with some ground and pound. Mir looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mir controlling the position well. Mann is working for a kimura but Mir is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mann scoring with strikes to the body and head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Z Mann dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Mir's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mir drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Mann connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Mir tries a head kick but it misses.
Mann drops Mir with a big left hand and mounts him. Mir is in big trouble! This has been an exciting period of action! Mann postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Mir out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Mann goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Z Mann!
