Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ninja Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Yankee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid's entrance music is Stratovarius - Hunting High and Low. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ninja Kid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Yankee! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yankee moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Yankee throws a head kick but Kid moves out of range.
Yankee connects with a body shot that sends Kid's belly button to the back. Kid throws a right and a left that Yankee avoids nicely. Yankee throws a sloppy head kick and Kid moves out of range easily. A shot to the body from Kid misses and Yankee makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kid really felt that one! Kid throws a leg kick but Yankee sees it coming and checks it nicely. A low kick from Kid is predictable there and Yankee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kid throws a right hand that Yankee ducks under and follows up with a left that Yankee also avoids with ease. Kid tries a low kick but Yankee avoids it. Yankee lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Ninja Kid has been cut. Kid throws a nice looking combination but Yankee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Yankee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice defenses there by Yankee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yankee tries to bum rush Kid with a series of wild strikes but Kid uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ninja Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A swing and a miss from Kid. Kid shoots in but Yankee avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kid misses with a wild combination.
Yankee forces Kid back against the cage and clinches. Stalling in the clinch from Yankee.
Yankee continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Kid creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Yankee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yankee stalls. Yankee receives a warning from the referee for stalling. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jim Yankee. Yankee lands a head kick. Kid smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Yankee throws a head kick but Kid moves out of range.
Kid swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Yankee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kid paws at him with a jab and circles away. A bone on bone clash there as Yankee blocks the leg kick.
Yankee lands a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kid gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Yankee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kid on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Yankee. Yankee obviously looking to wear him down.
Yankee tries to clinch up. Yankee stuffs the takedown attempt from Kid. Kid gets slowly back to his feet. Yankee is looking to clinch but Kid is avoiding it.
Yankee tries to clinch up. A head kick misses from Yankee. Yankee is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Kid fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Yankee. Kid throws out a loose jab but Yankee uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Kid misses. Kid shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ninja Kid. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kid is defended easily by Yankee. Kid takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kid is breathing heavily. Kid throws a series of punches but Yankee moves out of range. Sloppy strikes from Yankee. Those never looked like landing. Kid is looking to chop away at Yankee's legs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kid misses with a body kick. Jim Yankee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yankee checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Yankee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Yankee dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ninja Kid's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kid tries to score with a low kick but Yankee moves his leg out of the way. Kid stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kid dives in and grabs Yankee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yankee pushes down on Kid's head and hops out. Kid shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Yankee lands a high kick!
Yankee blocks a leg kick. Kid throws a sloppy body shot
and Yankee counters with a head kick. Kid ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Yankee connects with a high kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kid misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kid throws a sloppy body shot
and Yankee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kid is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kid is rocked! Kid fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Oh Kid is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ninja Kid. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kid shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yankee but Yankee pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kid seems to have got his legs back now. Yankee throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kid stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Yankee follows into mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yankee controlling the position easily from mount. Kid can't escape the position.
Yankee controlling the pace for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Yankee was stalling too much, according to the referee. Some wild striking there from Yankee.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kid. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Yankee clinches up with Kid and pushes him back against the cage. Yankee is looking to break free of the clinch but Kid has double underhooks. Kid scores with a nice hook to the head. Kid fails to pull guard.
Yankee tries to circle away but Kid has him pinned against the cage. Yankee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kid has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Yankee's efforts to push away. Yankee manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Yankee wants to break free but Kid has control.
Kid has Yankee pressed against the cage, preventing Yankee from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kid tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Yankee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kid is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Yankee's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Kid has his takedown stuffed and Yankee counters with a head kick. That will keep Kid thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Ninja Kid's cut is getting worse. Ninja Kid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yankee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yankee tries a head kick but it misses.
Yankee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kid.
Yankee throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kid. Yankee has closed the distance and engaged Kid in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Yankee is looking to break free of the clinch but Kid has double underhooks. Yankee is trying to force a seperation but Kid has the dominant position. Kid fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kid looks to throw an elbow but misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Yankee wants to break free but Kid has control.
Yankee has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kid tries to pull guard but Yankee won't allow it.
Yankee working hard to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Yankee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ninja Kid's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Yankee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kid throws a series of punches but Yankee avoids them all with ease. Kid closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Yankee's guard. Yankee wants to stand up but Kid is controlling him. Yankee is looking to stand back up but Kid counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Yankee. Yankee is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kid performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Yankee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ninja Kid wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kid shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yankee defends it nicely. Yankee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yankee misses the shot to the body. Kid misses with a takedown attempt - Yankee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kid throws out a loose jab but Yankee uses good head movement to avoid it. Kid shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kid showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yankee wants to get back to his feet. Yankee trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Yankee tries to reverse the position but Kid maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yankee is trying to stand. Yankee is squirming around, avoiding Kid's attempts to control the action. Yankee wants to hold on but Kid pushes him away. Yankee's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Yankee is trying to escape the mount.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ninja Kid. Well Yankee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
