Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Svenson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Cornwall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Svenson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Cornwall!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cornwall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Cornwall prevents Silva from improving his position.

Cornwall looking for a submission but Silva manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Cornwall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cornwall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cornwall sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Cornwall goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Cornwall's guard.

Cornwall had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cornwall Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva breaks Cornwall's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cornwall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cornwall swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A close round but Ken Cornwall will probably get the nod.
