Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abbas Frnas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oduvaldo Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abbas Frnas looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oduvaldo Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frnas stuffs the takedown.
Pereira fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pereira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Frnas circles away.
Abbas Frnas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oduvaldo Pereira.
Frnas stuffs the takedown attempt from Pereira. Pereira gets slowly back to his feet.

Frnas forces Pereira back against the cage and clinches.
Pereira is looking for a takedown.
Pereira lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Pereira tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Frnas smiles and moves away.
Pereira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frnas's waist but Frnas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pereira off to one side.
Pereira tries to close the distance and clinch but Frnas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pereira doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Frnas counters with a shoot takedown. Pereira fights it but they end up in guard.
Pereira looks gassed!

Pereira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frnas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Frnas controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Frnas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Frnas drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pereira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pereira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pereira!
Frnas tries to improve position but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pereira is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Frnas has escaped the position, nice work there.
Frnas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are battling for position here. Frnas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Frnas is looking to stand up but Pereira isn't so interested in that idea.

Frnas has his feet on Pereira's thighs here. He's pushed Pereira off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pereira screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
