Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kristian Florian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Varicella Zoster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Varicella Zoster has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kristian Florian's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Florian moves into the clinch successfully.
Florian landing knees to the head.
Zoster tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Florian tries to throw a body punch but Zoster avoids it by throwing Florian back against the cage.
Florian digs a right hand into Zoster's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Zoster's gas tank.
Florian stalls.
Florian fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Zoster jumps guard but Florian stands there with Zoster around his waist. Zoster gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Zoster escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zoster lands with an uppercut that bounces Florian off the cage and back into range.
Florian gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Zoster throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Zoster throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zoster throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Florian stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Florian tries to close the distance and clinch but Zoster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zoster digs a good hook to Florian's body.
Zoster circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zoster tries to bum rush Florian with a series of wild strikes but Florian uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Florian moves in looking to clinch but Zoster pushes him off.
Zoster keeps the fight on the outside.
Zoster stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zoster wants it to stay on the feet.
Zoster connects with a body shot.
Zoster lands with a cross.
Florian with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zoster to score with a decent uppercut.
Zoster goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A head kick misses from Florian.
Zoster lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Florian circles away quickly and effectively.

Zoster misses with a wild combination.

Florian fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Zoster is out of range.
Florian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Florian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zoster paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Florian swings for the body but Zoster moves out of range.
Florian clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Florian takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Zoster.
Florian looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Florian tries to circle away but Zoster has him pinned against the cage.
Zoster has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Florian after a bit of a struggle.

Zoster has had enough of the clinch but Florian keeps him there for the moment.

Florian keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Zoster's efforts to push away.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Zoster jumps into guard, dragging Florian to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Florian is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Florian with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Zoster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Florian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Florian forces his way into half guard.
Florian in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Zoster tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Florian!
