Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Reinikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian McPherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Reinikainen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Turmion Kätilöt - Verta ja Lihaa. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Reinikainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ian McPherson! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reinikainen defending well as McPherson loads up on a big left hand. Reinikainen slips under a jab. Reinikainen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McPherson. Reinikainen throws a low kick, looking for McPherson's leg but McPherson calmly moves out of range. Reinikainen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ian McPherson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McPherson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Reinikainen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McPherson. Reinikainen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. McPherson throws a hook to the side of Reinikainen's head but Reinikainen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McPherson moves out of range as Reinikainen strikes. Reinikainen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reinikainen tried to score with a low kick but McPherson checks it. Reinikainen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McPherson throws out the jab. Reinikainen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McPherson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reinikainen manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from McPherson finds it's way through Reinikainen's defenses. Reinikainen throws a body kick, spinning off balance and McPherson counters with a straight right hand. Reinikainen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Reinikainen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Reinikainen slips under a jab from McPherson. McPherson throws a body punch but Reinikainen moves out of range. Reinikainen throws a hook to the side of McPherson's head but McPherson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McPherson throws a jab but it's blocked by Reinikainen. McPherson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reinikainen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McPherson. McPherson throws a sloppy head kick and Reinikainen moves out of range easily. McPherson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Reinikainen will feel that in the morning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McPherson misses with an uppercut. McPherson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Reinikainen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McPherson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McPherson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Reinikainen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McPherson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. McPherson misses with a low kick. McPherson lands with a hook. Reinikainen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. McPherson throws an overhand right that lands on Reinikainen's shoulder, as Reinikainen tries to avoid the shot. McPherson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reinikainen. McPherson digs a good hook to Reinikainen's body.
Nice defenses there by Reinikainen. McPherson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Reinikainen wants to get back to his feet but McPherson drags him back down. Reinikainen tries to buck McPherson off but McPherson is having none of it. McPherson trying to control the position but Reinikainen is working away. McPherson looks up at the clock and then as Reinikainen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McPherson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Sloppy strikes there by McPherson. McPherson is trying to move to mount but Reinikainen reverses beautifully and ends up in McPherson's guard. McPherson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Reinikainen passes into half guard.
McPherson tries to roll over but Reinikainen keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McPherson trying to control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McPherson is trying to get back to full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reinikainen content to control rather than advance. McPherson misses with some strikes from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McPherson tries to get to full guard but Reinikainen has control of the leg. McPherson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reinikainen pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ian McPherson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Reinikainen lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Ian McPherson has been cut. McPherson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. McPherson misses with a double jab.
McPherson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. McPherson misses with an uppercut
and Reinikainen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McPherson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McPherson has Reinikainen up against the cage in a clinch.
Reinikainen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McPherson avoids it. Reinikainen misses with a punch to the body.
Reinikainen putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McPherson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reinikainen has McPherson pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. McPherson is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Reinikainen - that's hurt McPherson badly! Oh, another knee lands and McPherson is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but McPherson doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Kalle Reinikainen! During a confident post fight interview, Kalle Reinikainen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
