Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Diprivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Igorek Alekseevic!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alekseevic moves into range and clinches up with Diprivan.

Diprivan manages to break the clinch.
Diprivan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A good leg kick by Diprivan.
Diprivan throws a sloppy head kick and Alekseevic moves out of range easily.
Diprivan lets loose with a powerful body kick. Alekseevic will feel that in the morning.
Diprivan lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Igorek Alekseevic has been cut.

and Diprivan makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alekseevic really felt that one!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Diprivan wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Alekseevic manages to pass to side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Alekseevic sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diprivan's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Diprivan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
