Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Draybil Guetzlaff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Draybil Guetzlaff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Son! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guetzlaff tries to clinch but Son moves out of range. Guetzlaff is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Son's half guard. Guetzlaff is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Still in half guard, Guetzlaff seems content to control. Guetzlaff is trying to control. Son wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Son manages to get to full guard.
Guetzlaff trying to control but Son is working from the bottom. Son tries to land a sweep but no joy. Guetzlaff looking to sit in guard and control but Son gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Guetzlaff is trying to keep Son in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Son wanted to stand there but Guetzlaff had control of the position. Guetzlaff throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Guetzlaff pulls Son in close to prevent any damage. Guetzlaff is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Guetzlaff looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Guetzlaff keeping moving, preventing Son from controlling successfully. Guetzlaff trying to keep a closed guard but Son is proving a slippery customer.
Son controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Guetzlaff is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Son wants to stand but Guetzlaff has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sam Son. Guetzlaff avoids the body shot from Son.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Son misses with a body kick. Son swinging wildly here.
Son's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Son duly obliges. Guetzlaff looks to clinch and Son counters with a nice body shot. No joy there for Son, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Guetzlaff tries to close the distance and clinch but Son swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Son looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Son rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guetzlaff moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Son.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Son lands a jab-cross combination. Guetzlaff tries to close the distance and clinch but Son swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Son thuds a left hand into Guetzlaff's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Son takes a swing at Guetzlaff's ribcage but misses. Sam Son is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Guetzlaff takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Son misses with a double jab.
Son fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Son throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Son is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Guetzlaff rather than just go for the knockout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Son misses with a double jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Son darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Son dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Guetzlaff wants to clinch. Son looks to land a combination but Guetzlaff avoids it well. Son throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Guetzlaff. Guetzlaff uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Son. Guetzlaff dodges the punch combination from Son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Son throws a right and a left that both miss. Son throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Guetzlaff counters by clinching up. Son pulls guard successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Son is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Son looking for a guillotine here but Guetzlaff defends easily.
Guetzlaff slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Guetzlaff trying to control the action but Son is working from the bottom. Son manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Son manages to escape and get back to his feet! Guetzlaff is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Son throws a series of punches but Guetzlaff avoids them all with ease. Guetzlaff tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Son manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Son lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Guetzlaff moves into the clinch successfully.

Nice body punch from Son. This has been an exciting period of action! Guetzlaff works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Son is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Guetzlaff loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Guetzlaff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Son swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Son looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Guetzlaff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Son is keeping the position for now. Son working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Guetzlaff doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Guetzlaff manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Guetzlaff trying to control the position from guard on top but Son is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Draybil Guetzlaff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Guetzlaff looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Son is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Son is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Guetzlaff is aware though and is defending well. Son is trying to keep Guetzlaff in close.
Guetzlaff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Son swivels though and keeps the full guard. Guetzlaff postures up.
Guetzlaff tries to free his leg and advance position but Son is retaining full guard. Son preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Son wants to sweep but no luck. Son has Guetzlaff pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sam Son. Guetzlaff closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Sam Son will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Guetzlaff will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Son up against the cage. Guetzlaff trying to land knees to the body.

Guetzlaff swings wildly with an uppercut but Son uses good head movement to avoid it. Son is trying to push Guetzlaff away but Guetzlaff has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Son working hard to break the clinch. Son tries to break free but Guetzlaff pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Son is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Guetzlaff keeps control of Son as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Guetzlaff is trying to trip Son. He has hold of a leg but Son is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Guetzlaff persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Son is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Son keeping full guard, as Guetzlaff tries to pass. Son is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Guetzlaff controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Guetzlaff trying to control but Son is working from the bottom. Son wants to stand and escape but Guetzlaff is having none of it. Guetzlaff trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Son keeping moving, preventing Guetzlaff from controlling successfully. Son can't keep his opponent in guard - Guetzlaff advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Son wants to get back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Son punching from the bottom.
Guetzlaff is looking to take a break and control but Son is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Guetzlaff trying to control from Son's half guard. Son has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Guetzlaff won't allow Son to sweep him here. Guetzlaff passes into half guard. Guetzlaff blocks the strikes from Son.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Son is looking for a sweep. Guetzlaff is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Son is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Son is not content to let Guetzlaff control the position. Son is doing well to control the position and prevent Guetzlaff from advancing to side control. Son trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Guetzlaff won't let Son get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Son tries to hold on but Guetzlaff postures up. Guetzlaff throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Sam Son is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Son is wriggling around trying to escape.
Guetzlaff jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Son manages to avoid the submission attempt. The strikes coming from Guetzlaff are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Draybil Guetzlaff has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Son manages to get back to half guard. Guetzlaff is trying to control. Son wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guetzlaff is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Son sees it coming and defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Draybil Guetzlaff showed his dominance in that final round. I think Son has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
