Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Athelston Cupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cupp's choice of entrance music: Seek and Destroy. Veli Schwarzeneg could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Athelston Cupp's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 23 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Veli Schwarzeneg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Athelston Cupp! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwarzeneg shoots in and bounces Cupp off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Cupp is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Schwarzeneg wants to stand but Cupp is controlling his posture from full guard. Schwarzeneg drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cupp manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Schwarzeneg has Cupp in his guard. Schwarzeneg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cupp's guard. Schwarzeneg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cupp thows a leg kick but Schwarzeneg checks it and Schwarzeneg counters with a single leg into guard. Cupp didn't expect that. Schwarzeneg throws a big elbow that misses. Cupp keeping moving, preventing Schwarzeneg from controlling successfully. Cupp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schwarzeneg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Schwarzeneg stands up and waves to Cupp to follow him. Cupp throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cupp keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Schwarzeneg shoots in looking for a takedown. Cupp tries to sprawl out of it but Schwarzeneg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Cupp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Schwarzeneg tries to keep at a distance but Cupp has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cupp tries to break free but Schwarzeneg pushes him back against the ropes. Schwarzeneg tries for a takedown but Cupp manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Veli Schwarzeneg. That's going to take a lot out of him. This has been an exciting period of action! Schwarzeneg pulls guard. Cupp wants to stand but Schwarzeneg is controlling his posture from full guard. Cupp decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Schwarzeneg, up you get! Cupp looks gassed! Cupp misses with a wild body shot. Schwarzeneg darts in and clinches Cupp up against the ropes. Cupp wants to take the fight to the mat but Schwarzeneg manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Schwarzeneg blocking some punches.
Schwarzeneg has Cupp pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Schwarzeneg pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Cupp tumbling to the mat - Schwarzeneg dives into Cupp's guard. Schwarzeneg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cupp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Cupp is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Schwarzeneg is controlling him. Cupp keeping moving, preventing Schwarzeneg from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cupp throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg stands and steps away. Cupp gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Cupp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schwarzeneg tries to avoid it but Cupp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schwarzeneg to the ground. Schwarzeneg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Schwarzeneg closes the distance and pushes Cupp back into the ropes. Schwarzeneg successfully pulls guard.
Cupp with a flurry of punches that miss. Cupp throws a big elbow that misses. Schwarzeneg throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Schwarzeneg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cupp manages to get himself to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schwarzeneg working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schwarzeneg stands up from guard. Let's bang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Veli Schwarzeneg dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Schwarzeneg looking to score a takedown here. Cupp is defending well but Schwarzeneg drives through and ends up in Cupp's guard. Schwarzeneg chips away with some ground and pound. Cupp is looking for a triangle but Schwarzeneg pushes his legs off easily.
Schwarzeneg pushes down on Cupp's leg and manages to get into half guard. Schwarzeneg postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cupp to stand up. Cupp shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schwarzeneg as he jumps to the side. Schwarzeneg shoots in looking for a takedown but Cupp manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Schwarzeneg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Schwarzeneg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schwarzeneg is looking for a kimura here.
Cupp is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwarzeneg is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Schwarzeneg trying to control but Cupp is having none of it. Schwarzeneg landing strikes from the mount and Cupp is in trouble!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg working away from the top, dropping strikes. Veli Schwarzeneg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. BOOM! Schwarzeneg connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cupp is rocked! Schwarzeneg looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Cupp covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
