The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns lands with a thumping leg kick.
Burns tries to clinch up.
Burns throws a sloppy head kick and Cpw moves out of range easily.
Cpw swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
Cpw blocks a head kick by Burns.

Burns rushes Cpw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Burns tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cpw just stands there and leans against the cage.
Burns jumps guard but Cpw stands there with Burns around his waist. Burns gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brewster Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cpw looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Cpw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Burns looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cpw is fending him off so far but Burns persists. Nope, Cpw circles away and we're back to standing.
Cpw lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Cpw slaps away a takedown attempt from Burns, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cpw scores with a hook to the body. Burns takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cpw stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Cpw paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Burns is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Burns. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A left and a right from Cpw both land. Nice combination.
Oh Burns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cpw scores with a decent looking hook.
Cpw connects with a nice cross there... Burns is looking wobbly and Cpw recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Burns to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Cpw jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
