Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richiko Renji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Karasawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiroshi Karasawa looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Richiko Renji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Karasawa!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renji tries to clinch but Karasawa moves out of range.

Renji gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Karasawa is looking to work some ground and pound but Renji has wrist control.
Renji wants to sweep but no luck.
Renji wants to stand but Karasawa is controlling the position.

Karasawa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Karasawa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Karasawa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Renji.
Renji fails with an attempt to clinch.

Karasawa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Karasawa looks gassed!

Renji closes the distance and pushes Karasawa back into the cage.
Karasawa dodges an elbow strike from Renji.
Renji just leaning against Karasawa, taking a breather.

Renji is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Karasawa is defending well for now.

Renji tries to stall but Karasawa uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Renji is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Karasawa is defending well for now.

Renji trying to control the position but instead, Karasawa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Renji into the cage.
Renji misses with an elbow over the top.
Karasawa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Renji is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Karasawa is keeping busy.

Karasawa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Renji avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Richiko Renji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiroshi Karasawa.
Renji unloads a knee to the mid-section. Karasawa lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Renji throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Renji pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Karasawa has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Renji after a bit of a struggle.
Renji throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Renji tries to break free but Karasawa pushes him back against the cage.
Karasawa goes for a takedown attempt but Renji pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Renji goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Renji closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Karasawa tries to pull guard but Renji holds him up against the cage and eventually Karasawa drops back down to his feet.
Renji lands an elbow just above Karasawa 's eye.

Karasawa takes an elbow to the forehead.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Renji stops a takedown attempt from Karasawa.
Renji is trying to push Karasawa away but Karasawa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Karasawa goes for a takedown attempt but Renji pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Renji throws a head kick but Karasawa moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Karasawa avoids the head kick by Renji.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Karasawa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Renji's guard.

Karasawa wants to free his trapped foot but Renji is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Renji is trying to stand up here but Karasawa is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hiroshi Karasawa was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Karasawa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Renji as he avoids it easily.
Hiroshi Karasawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Renji misses with a head kick.
Karasawa fails to land the takedown.
Renji tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Karasawa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Karasawa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Renji pulls his leg out and moves away.

Renji pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Karasawa drives through with a takedown into Renji's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hiroshi Karasawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Karasawa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Renji on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Renji tries to get out of the position.
Renji wants to improve his position but Karasawa is controlling well.
Hiroshi Karasawa has got the better of the ground game so far.
Karasawa thows a huge punch but Renji dodges it nicely.
Karasawa is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Karasawa wants to work for an arm triangle but Renji is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Renji is trying to stand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Karasawa wants to stand but Renji has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Renji is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Renji has his hands clasped together around Karasawa's back. He's all about the action.

Karasawa passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Renji!

Hiroshi Karasawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Karasawa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
