Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valnokov throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Putin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Putin shoots in and drives through. Valnokov sprawls well.
Putin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Putin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Valnokov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Putin but great work by Valnokov.
Valnokov tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Putin regains half guard.
Putin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Valnokov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Valnokov is looking to take a break and control but Putin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Putin wants to improve his position but Valnokov is controlling well.

Putin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Putin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valnokov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valnokov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Putin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Valnokov!
Valnokov wants to control but Putin is having none of it.
Putin sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Putin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Valnokov is surviving well by controlling Putin's body position as best he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Putin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Valnokov is looking to escape.
Valnokov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Putin on the ground.
Putin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Valnokov is trying desperately to improve position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valnokov tries to hold on but Putin pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Putin has hold of Valnokov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Valnokov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Valnokov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Valnokov has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Valnokov tries to break free.
Valnokov trying to control the action but Putin just sinks the hooks in.
Valnokov manages to reverse the position and now he's in Putin's guard. Nice work there by Valnokov.
Putin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Valnokov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Putin's body to avoid the submission. Putin has instead reached around Valnokov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Putin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
