Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Aries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aries is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Santana to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Santana shrugs it off.

Aries has hold of Santana's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Santana manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Aries! Santana is hurt baaadly! Aries is firing away with more strikes - Santana is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
