The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Adams shoots for a takedown but Carter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Carter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Adams.
Adams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Adams off to one side.

and Carter counters with a stiff right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Carter cracks Adams with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Adams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carter pinned against the cage. Carter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter looks to land a combination. Adams sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brent Carter will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Adams shoots in looking for a takedown but Carter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Adams moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Carter has Adams pressed against the cage, preventing Adams from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brent Carter.
