The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernus wants to clinch.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Fernus is in a horrible position here. Johnson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fernus wants to control but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fernus's face.

Johnson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Fernus scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Johnson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Johnson stands and salutes the crowd.
