Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Strangle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Kuban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Geoff Strangle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Kuban! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strangle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kuban counters with a lovely shot to the body. Strangle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuban sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Strangle somewhat. Kuban gets a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Strangle gets back to full guard.
Kuban prevents Strangle from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuban throwing strikes from guard but Strangle blocks nicely. Strangle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kuban is one step ahead there. Kuban with a flurry of punches that miss. Kuban preventing the sweep. Kuban working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kuban trying to control the position from guard on top but Strangle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strangle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuban preventing the sweep. Kuban trying to control but Strangle is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kuban tries to keep at a distance but Strangle has taken the fight into the clinch. Strangle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kuban just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Geoff Strangle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strangle has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kuban uses from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strangle wants to sweep here but Kuban controlling him for the moment. Kuban wants to control from the top but Strangle keeps moving. Strangle looking for a sweep. Not yet Strangle, not yet. Strangle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Strangle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kuban looking to sit in guard and control but Strangle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kuban had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Strangle defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuban wants to stand up but Strangle is controlling him. Kuban really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strangle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Strangle trying to control but Kuban is working from the bottom. Kuban is trying to keep Strangle in close.
Kuban had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Strangle defends it easily. Kuban looks gassed! Strangle wants to control from the top but Kuban keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strangle stops Kuban from standing up. Kuban looking for a sweep. Not yet Kuban, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alexander Kuban will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Strangle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kuban as he jumps to the side. Kuban shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strangle's guard. Strangle controls Kuban momentarily but Kuban frees himself. Kuban wants to stand but Strangle is controlling his posture from full guard. Strangle is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kuban has his hands clasped together but Strangle extends an breaks Kuban's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Strangle.
