Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Goran Spaten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Georgesten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spaten comes to the ring accompanied by Knockin Boots by Candyman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Georgesten! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Georgesten closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Georgesten lands in his opponent's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Georgesten missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Spaten has momentary wrist control but Georgesten slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Georgesten missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Georgesten throws a strike but Spaten rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Georgesten wants to stand but Spaten is controlling the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Georgesten holds on and takes a little breather. Spaten tries to free his leg and advance position but Georgesten is retaining full guard. Georgesten has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Spaten off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Spaten fails in his attempt to clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! No luck for Spaten with that takedown attempt. Spaten lands with a straight right. Georgesten didn't see that one coming.

Spaten shoots in looking for a takedown but Georgesten manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spaten's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Georgesten manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Spaten on his heels. He'll look to pass Spaten's guard now, I'm sure. Spaten avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Georgesten working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Georgesten lands a couple of decent looking shots. Georgesten slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spaten's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Georgesten with a flurry of punches that miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Georgesten postures up in Spaten's guard and throws a big left but Spaten blocks it. Georgesten throwing strikes but missing. Georgesten is working Spaten over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Georgesten dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Georgesten shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Spaten won't allow Georgesten to pass to mount. Spaten avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Georgesten. Spaten wants to control but Georgesten is keeping busy and won't allow it. Georgesten throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Georgesten slips a nice elbow through Spaten's hands, connecting with Spaten's forehead. Spaten wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Georgesten is nestled in close to Spaten, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Spaten is looking for a sweep. Georgesten is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Georgesten throws a strike but Spaten avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Georgesten trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Georgesten throws an elbow that misses. Spaten uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Georgesten's guard. Nice move by Spaten! Georgesten has his hands on Spaten's head, controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Georgesten can do anything to dispel that myth. Spaten throws a strike but Georgesten rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
