Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turd lands a nice hook to Hughs's body. Hughs takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Turd looks to land a combination. Hughs sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hughs wants to clinch up but Turd keeps it at a distance.
Turd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Turd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hughs's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Turd throws a strike but Hughs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turd is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hughs is aware though and is defending well.

Turd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hughs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Turd lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hughs!
