PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samson Deleyel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nik Reeder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reeder has chosen Awake and Alive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Reeder or perhaps it was just good defense by Deleyel which made him look bad.
Reeder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Deleyel throws a right and a left that Reeder avoids nicely.
Reeder dives in and grabs Deleyel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Deleyel pushes down on Reeder's head and hops out.
Samson Deleyel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nik Reeder.

Deleyel throws a hook but Reeder avoids it easily.

Reeder shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Deleyel sprawls well. Deleyel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reeder gets slowly back to his feet.

Reeder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Deleyel is just riding it out for now. Reeder eventually gives up the hold.

Deleyel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Reeder wants to free his trapped foot but Deleyel is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Deleyel has his hands clasped together around Reeder's back. He's all about the action.

Nik Reeder dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Deleyel lands a left and a right that send Reeder crashing to the mat, dazed. Deleyel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Reeder is rocked!


It looks like Nik Reeder has been cut.
Deleyel steps in with a hook that catches Reeder right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Deleyel follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Reeder looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samson Deleyel!
Our winner, Samson Deleyel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
