Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex KwonDo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rallan Mallagoire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rallan Mallagoire told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rex KwonDo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rallan Mallagoire! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from KwonDo.
KwonDo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mallagoire counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. KwonDo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mallagoire defends it easily. Mallagoire must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. KwonDo is trying to keep Mallagoire in close.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mallagoire won't allow KwonDo to get back to his feet.

Mallagoire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with KwonDo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. KwonDo looking for a sweep. Not yet KwonDo, not yet. KwonDo pulls Mallagoire in close to his closed guard and prevents Mallagoire from doing any damage or advancing position. Mallagoire preventing the sweep. KwonDo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. KwonDo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. KwonDo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mallagoire's guard. KwonDo chips away with some ground and pound. KwonDo drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says KwonDo as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mallagoire screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with KwonDo! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Rex KwonDo! Rex KwonDo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
