Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Blasko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Les Grossman! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blasko is looking to clinch but Grossman is avoiding it.
Les Grossman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blasko tries to clinch but Grossman moves out of range. Grossman thuds a left hand into Blasko's body. Blasko on the wrong end of a nice jab. Grossman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blasko moves away. Blasko takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Grossman misses with a lunging right hand
and Blasko counters by moving into the clinch. A short uppercut from Grossman. Grossman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Blasko gets tackled into the cage by Grossman. Grossman maintains the clinch. Grossman lands a shoulder strike. Grossman scores with a shoulder strike. A hook to the body from Grossman.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A body shot lands from Grossman.
Grossman tries to throw a body punch but Blasko avoids it by throwing Grossman back against the cage. A short uppercut from Grossman. Grossman content to slow the pace in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blasko tries to break free but Grossman pushes him back against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Grossman. Grossman lands a nice knee to the body. Grossman lands an uppercut. Grossman prevents Blasko from breaking the clinch. Grossman slows down the pace here.
Grossman continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Grossman breaks the clinch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Grossman.
Blasko throws a head kick that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grossman is looking to slow Blasko down with leg kicks. Blasko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grossman but Grossman pushes him off and we're back to square one. Blasko waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grossman. A solid leg kick lands there for Grossman.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grossman sizes up Blasko with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Grossman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Grossman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Blasko is looking to clinch but Grossman is avoiding it.

Blasko doesn't manage to clinch there - Grossman circles away.
Grossman works the jab nicely. Grossman throws a nice outside leg kick. Blasko on the wrong end of a nice jab. Blasko tries to clinch there but Grossman circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Grossman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Blasko tries to keep at a distance but Grossman has taken the fight into the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Grossman. Grossman lands with a right to the head. Blasko throws an elbow that misses.
Blasko has Grossman pressed against the cage.
Blasko is trying to force a seperation but Grossman has the dominant position. Grossman lands a right hand. Grossman lands a left hand.
Grossman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Blasko fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Grossman lands on the inside with an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blasko is trying to force a seperation but Grossman has the dominant position. Grossman has Blasko pressed against the cage, preventing Blasko from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Grossman lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Blasko. Grossman lands an elbow that stopped Blasko in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like John Blasko has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blasko takes an elbow to the temple. Blasko letting Grossman take a breather here. Grossman lands a left hand.
Blasko is rocked! Grossman holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Grossman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Grossman lands a head shot. Oh Blasko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Grossman scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Blasko seems to have got his legs back now. Grossman lands a head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Les Grossman dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Blasko's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Blasko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Grossman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Grossman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blasko circles away quickly and effectively. Blasko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Blasko sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Nice straight punches there by Grossman. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Grossman. Blasko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Blasko takes a shot right to the bread basket. Blasko wants to clinch but Grossman slips to the side and Grossman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Blasko has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blasko has a couple of punches blocked by Grossman.
Grossman lands a right hand. Grossman throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Blaskos head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grossman pushes Blasko back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Les Grossman seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Grossman lands an elbow that stopped Blasko in his tracks for a moment. Grossman dips a shoulder and cracks Blasko with a mighty uppercut! Blasko falls back against the cage and Grossman unloads with a barrage of strikes! Blasko is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Grossman screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Les Grossman! Les Grossman gave a mention to Perkele! in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
