Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Lunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Hardy! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lunn throws a right and a left that both miss. Hardy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lunn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hardy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hardy misses with a knee to the head. Lunn connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hardy's face.

Lunn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lunn swinging wildly here.
Hardy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hardy wants it to stay on the feet. Lunn scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Dan Hardy has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Hardy looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lunn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lunn shoots for a double leg takedown but Hardy sprawls well. He's pushed Lunn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lunn tries to bum rush Hardy with a series of wild strikes but Hardy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lunn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lunn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hardy tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Lunn pulls guard effortlessly. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lunn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hardy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lunn. Hardy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lunn keeps working. Hardy tries for a kimura but Lunn is defending well. You can see the frustration on Lunn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hardy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lunn is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Lunn looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lunn wants to get back to his feet. Hardy drops an elbow to the side of Lunn's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hardy blocks the strikes from Lunn.
Hardy lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hardy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hardy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lunn keeps working. Lunn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hardy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hardy's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes. Hardy is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hardy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Poor strikes thrown by Lunn there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Lunn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lunn throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Hardy is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lunn sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lunn seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Hardy is holding on tight.

Lunn raining down shots from the mount! This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hardy is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Lunn has taken his back! Lunn connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Hardy to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Lunn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dan Hardy's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lunn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lunn lands a head kick. Hardy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hardy is rocked! Lunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hardy circles away quickly and effectively. Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lunn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Billy Lunn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lunn drops Hardy with a big left hand! Hardy is injured, injured bad! Lunn jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
