Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balaur Bondoc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Jones!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to chop away at Bondoc's legs.
Jones throws an off balance right hand
and Bondoc counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
Jones takes a swing at Bondoc's ribcage but misses.
Bondoc lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! Bondoc takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Russell Jones has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bondoc defends it nicely.
Jones misses with a body kick.

Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Bondoc sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bondoc jabs at Jones's body.
Jones throws a solid leg kick but Bondoc takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones.
Jones avoids the head kick by Bondoc.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Bondoc.
Balaur Bondoc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russell Jones.
Jones shoots and misses
and Bondoc counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bondoc tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones connects with an inside leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bondoc has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bondoc and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jones tries to clinch up but Bondoc circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jones shoots and misses
and Bondoc counters with a thumping low kick.
Russell Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That has opened up Russell Jones's cut even more.
Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bondoc as he avoids it easily.
Jones throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Bondoc to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones is rocked!
Bondoc lands a nice looking body shot.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Bondoc finish him?
Jones looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bondoc lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Jones crumples to the floor! Bondoc milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Balaur Bondoc!
Balaur Bondoc decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
