Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pamela Manderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonichie Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pamela Manderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tonichie Hong!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Manderson.
Manderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Hong wants to clinch up but Manderson keeps it at a distance.
Hong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Manderson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Manderson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Manderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Manderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Manderson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Hong's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hong can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hong is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Hong is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manderson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close round but I would say that Pamela Manderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hong throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Manderson blocks it with crossed arms.

Manderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Manderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hong swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Manderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Manderson, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Manderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hong manages to get himself to full guard.

Hong keeping moving, preventing Manderson from controlling successfully.
Manderson throws an elbow that misses. Hong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Manderson's guard. Nice move by Hong!
Hong would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Manderson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pamela Manderson.
I think Manderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
