The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson shoots in but no luck this time. Nelson works the jab nicely. Barnes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nelson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Barnes throws a big shot that misses. Barnes scores with a leg kick.
Barnes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nelson's sensitive parts. Nelson misses with the combination.
Nelson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barnes moves away. Nelson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Barnes connects with a body shot that sends Nelson's belly button to the back. Nelson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Nice sprawl there from Barnes as Nelson shoots in. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Nelson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Barnes has got the better of the exchanges. Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Barnes finish him? Barnes cracks Nelson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Nelson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Barnes pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Nelson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
