PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between WIlliam Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruchacz Zak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by I got my game on. Zak has chosen Armin van Buuren - Sail as his entrance music. WIlliam Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Zak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bob pulls his leg out and moves away.

It looks like Ruchacz Zak has been cut.

Zak has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bob after a bit of a struggle.

Bob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bob lands a leg kick that knocks Zak off balance momentarily.

Zak has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bob after a bit of a struggle.

Bob feints a jab promting Zak to slip. Bob then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Zak slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Bob scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Zak fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bob drives through with a takedown into Zak's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bob wants to stand but Zak has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
WIlliam Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Zak is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Zak shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bob stalks Zak and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zak's face. Zak staggers backwards, shaken.
Bob tries to clinch there but Zak circles away.

WIlliam Bob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bob shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bob showed some decent athleticism there.
Zak is looking for a sweep. Bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Zak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bob pulls his head out easily.
Zak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bob tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Bob stands up from half guard.
Bob throws a series of punches but Zak moves out of range.
Bob fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bob's jab looks to have found its range, popping Zak under the eye.
Bob catches Zak with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

WIlliam Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruchacz Zak.

Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bob scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Zak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

WIlliam Bob showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
