The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearl has his takedown stuffed
and Funktastic counters with a nice uppercut.
Funktastic misses with an uppercut. Pearl saw that one coming.
Funktastic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Funktastic dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pearl. That did some damage!

Pearl closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Funktastic quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pearl shoots in looking for a takedown but Funktastic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pearl's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Funktastic has hold of Pearl's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pearl manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Pearl here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mr Pearl will probably get the nod.
