Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Georges St Cassian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges St Cassian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franklin Faber! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Georges St Cassian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Faber tries to keep at a distance but St Cassian has taken the fight into the clinch. Faber tries a knee to the head but St Cassian blocks it.

Faber avoids a punch combination nicely.
St Cassian drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Faber wants to sweep here but St Cassian controlling him for the moment. St Cassian wanted to stand there but Faber had control of the position. St Cassian pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Faber is keeping the position for now. Faber wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faber looking for submissions from the bottom but instead St Cassian passes into half guard.
Faber tries to get to full guard but St Cassian has control of the leg. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with St Cassian in particular looking to stall. St Cassian moves nicely into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. St Cassian wants to take a breather but Faber manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for St Cassian. St Cassian stands and steps away. Faber gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. St Cassian is looking to clinch but Faber is avoiding it.
St Cassian keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. St Cassian closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Faber looks gassed! Faber tries to get back to half guard but can't. Faber is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Cassian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faber keeps working. St Cassian decides to stand up, so the ref orders Faber to his feet. Faber avoids the head kick by St Cassian.
Faber misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. St Cassian throws a head kick that half lands.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Faber takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Georges St Cassian dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Faber shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts St Cassian as he jumps to the side. St Cassian takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

St Cassian tries to land a front kick but Faber steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. St Cassian has his takedown stuffed and Faber counters with a left to the body. St Cassian fails with the takedown and Faber counters with a left to the body. Faber scores with a takedown into St Cassian's guard. Faber advances to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. St Cassian avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Faber.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faber is thwarting St Cassian's attempts to control the position. Faber tries to pass to full mount but St Cassian defends it. St Cassian trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Faber is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. St Cassian knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. St Cassian drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. St Cassian stays in close to Faber's body and controls the position. St Cassian is pushing down on Faber's leg trying to pass to half guard. Faber is fighting to maintain full guard but St Cassian has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Cassian perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Faber slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Faber looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faber manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
St Cassian is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, St Cassian has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Franklin Faber showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
St Cassian pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Faber will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. St Cassian shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Faber counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Faber pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. St Cassian is keeping the position for now. Faber trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. St Cassian is looking to stand up but Faber isn't so interested in that idea. St Cassian not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Faber trying to control the position from guard on top but St Cassian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faber postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! St Cassian is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Faber, into his guard. Faber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Faber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Franklin Faber has got the better of the ground game so far. Faber throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. St Cassian stops Faber from standing up. St Cassian won't allow Faber to sweep him here. Faber pulls St Cassian in to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. St Cassian controls the pace of the fight for a moment. St Cassian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Faber is proving hard to escape from. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Faber holds on and takes a little breather. St Cassian tries to stand but Faber is controlling from the bottom. St Cassian trying to control but Faber is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Faber wants to sweep here but St Cassian controlling him for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Franklin Faber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Faber has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
