Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mad Bomber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Zadornov!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zadornov throws a nice looking combination but Bomber bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Bomber, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bomber has a takedown stuffed.
Bomber closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bomber shoots for a double leg takedown but Zadornov sprawls well. He's pushed Bomber's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zadornov tries to keep at a distance but Bomber has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bomber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bomber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zadornov sprawls well. Zadornov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bomber gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mad Bomber. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zadornov throws a series of punches but Bomber moves out of range.
Zadornov on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bomber tries to close the distance and clinch but Zadornov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bomber looks for the body kick but Zadornov saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Zadornov does no damage.
Zadornov scores with a head kick.
Bomber tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zadornov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bomber somewhat.
Bomber throws a body punch but Zadornov moves out of range.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bomber is trying to pull guard but Zadornov turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Zadornov tries to stall but Bomber uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bomber has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zadornov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bomber pulls guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bomber looking for a sweep. Not yet Bomber, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bomber is looking for a triangle but Zadornov pushes his legs off easily.
Bomber seems keen to control Zadornov's posture.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zadornov wants to control from the top but Bomber keeps moving.
Bomber looking for a triangle here. Zadornov is fighting it but it looks tight! Bomber pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Zadornov is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mad Bomber!
Post fight, Mad Bomber took to the microphone: 'My manager is the bomb, thanks to my sponsors, fans yeahhhhh...'.
