Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mink Furer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcin Held! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Furer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mink Furer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Furer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Held as he avoids it easily. Furer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Furer thows a huge punch but Held dodges it nicely.
Furer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Held keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Held blocking the ground and pound attempt from Furer. Held is trying to stand.
Held is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Furer thows a huge punch but Held dodges it nicely.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Held looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Furer wants to take a breather but Held is having none of it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Furer lands a nice short elbow. Furer winds up and cracks Held with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Held looks gassed!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Furer not landing any meaningful shots this time. Furer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Furer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Held with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Furer stands up and beckons Held to join him on the feet. Furer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mink Furer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Held leaves Furer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Furer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Held is looking to stand up but Furer isn't so interested in that idea. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Furer's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Furer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Held swivels though and keeps the full guard. Furer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Held avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Furer with a flurry of punches that miss. Furer lands a couple of digs. Held really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Furer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Furer distracts Held with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Furer lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Held working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Furer. Furer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Furer trying to control the position from guard on top but Held is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Furer's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mink Furer dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Held stuffs the takedown. Furer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Held can do to turn this around? Held shoots in looking for a takedown but Furer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Held's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mink Furer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Furer rushes Held and presses him up against the ropes. Furer gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Held regains guard.
Furer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Held pushes Furer off and scrambles back to his feet.
Furer has managed to clinch.
Held is breathing heavily. Furer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Furer manages to end up in side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Furer is chipping away with strikes.
Held parries the strikes from Furer easily there. Furer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Held to escape.

Held is rocked! Furer lands a nice forearm strike. Held is still in real trouble! Can Furer finish him? Furer landing strikes. A big shot lands for Furer! That's hurt Held! Will he recover? Furer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
