Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricardo Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kringle closes the distance and clinches.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kringle as Sanchez tries to tie him up.
Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kringle avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kringle tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Sanchez is trying to force a seperation but Kringle has the dominant position.
Sanchez is working for takedown but Kringle is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kringle tries a body shot but Sanchez blocks it.

Kringle pulls guard effortlessly.
Sanchez being controlled here momentarily.
Kringle wants to stand and escape but Sanchez is having none of it.
Kringle is pulling down on Sanchez's head to control his posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kringle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kris Kringle has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kringle sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt
and Sanchez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kris Kringle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Sanchez.
Kringle misses with a head kick.
Sanchez misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Kringle counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kringle.

Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kringle defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sanchez has his foot on Kringle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kringle works his way back into a safe position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kringle looking to pass the guard.
Kringle is breathing heavily.

Sanchez is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kringle throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sanchez's body to avoid the submission. Sanchez has instead reached around Kringle's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sanchez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ricardo Sanchez!
