The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kulk misses with a takedown attempt
and Tidds counters with a big head kick but Kulk shrugs it off.
Tidds misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kulk is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Krzysztof Kulk has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tidds lands a left and a right that send Kulk crashing to the mat, dazed. Tidds thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kulk gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tidds to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tidds controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Tidds must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tidds wants to get up but he can't break Kulk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Tidds closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kulk's guard.
Tidds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kulk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Tidds. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Tidds slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tidds looks to land a combination. Kulk sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Tidds lands a leg kick that knocks Kulk off balance momentarily.
Kulk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tidds's waist but Tidds gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kulk off to one side.

Tidds moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Tidds has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tidds feints a jab promting Kulk to slip. Tidds then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kulk slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Tidds lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kulk circles away quickly and effectively.
Tidds swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Leroy Tidds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kulk closes the distance and clinches up with Tidds, looking for a takedown. Kulk pushes Tidds against the cage but Tidds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kulk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Kulk jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tidds is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tidds and Kulk has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tidds wants to get back to his feet but Kulk drags him back down.
Leroy Tidds is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tidds parries the strikes from Kulk easily there. Kulk is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tidds to escape.
Kulk is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tidds knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Krzysztof Kulk.
Well Tidds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
