Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nisse Nyberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Carlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nisse Nyberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Carlin!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyberg is looking to chop away at Carlin's legs.
Carlin has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Carlin or perhaps it was just good defense by Nyberg which made him look bad.
Nyberg shoots in for a double leg but Carlin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Carlin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nyberg.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nyberg.
Carlin pushes Nyberg away with a front kick.
Carlin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carlin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carlin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nisse Nyberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Carlin.
Nyberg is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carlin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Carlin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nyberg sprawls well. Nyberg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carlin gets slowly back to his feet.
Carlin thows a body shot but no joy.
Nyberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Carlin. Carlin gets slowly back to his feet.
Nyberg tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nyberg slips a jab and a cross from Carlin.

Nyberg moves into the clinch successfully.
Carlin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nyberg's elbow.

Carlin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nyberg instigates a clinch.
Carlin goes for a takedown attempt but Nyberg pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Carlin looks gassed!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carlin.
Nyberg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carlin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Nyberg.
Nyberg pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nyberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nyberg scores with a one two! Carlin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Nyberg tries a low kick but Carlin avoids it.

Nyberg clinches up with Carlin and pushes him back against the cage.
Carlin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nyberg's efforts to push away.
Nyberg is looking to take this one to the mat.
Nyberg controlling the action here for a moment.
Nyberg dodges an elbow strike from Carlin.
Nyberg goes for a takedown in the clinch but Carlin prevents it.

Carlin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nyberg pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carlin fails with a takedown attempt.
Nyberg shoots in but Carlin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carlin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carlin wants it to stay on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nyberg looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carlin is fending him off so far but Nyberg persists. Nope, Carlin circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nisse Nyberg dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Carlin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carlin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nyberg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carlin somewhat.
Nyberg shoots in for a double leg but Carlin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nyberg misses with a takedown attempt - Carlin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carlin is looking to score with low kicks.

Carlin closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Nyberg's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Nyberg ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nyberg no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Carlin wants to control from the top but Nyberg keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nyberg is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Nyberg is pulling down on Carlin's head to control his posture.
Carlin wants to pass the guard but Nyberg is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nyberg is on top in guard.

Carlin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nyberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nyberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carlin pulls Nyberg in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carlin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nyberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nyberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Carlin can't keep his opponent in guard - Nyberg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Nyberg is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carlin is just riding it out for now. Nyberg eventually gives up the hold.

Carlin is trying to control but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice sprawl there from Nyberg as Carlin shoots in.

Nyberg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nyberg showed some decent athleticism there.
Carlin tries to roll over but Nyberg keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nisse Nyberg dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Nyberg stuns Carlin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nyberg tries to land a front kick but Carlin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nyberg fails to land the takedown.
Nyberg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nyberg wants it to stay on the feet.

Nyberg drives through and clinches with Carlin against the cage.
Carlin wants to get back to striking at distance but Nyberg won't allow it.
Carlin gets underhooks to prevent Nyberg's takedown attempt.
Carlin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nyberg stalling in the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Carlin has Nyberg pressed against the cage, preventing Nyberg from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Nyberg working hard to break the clinch.
Carlin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nyberg walks away with a smile on his face. Carlin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Carlin stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nisse Nyberg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nyberg attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Carlin fails with the takedown.
Nyberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carlin as he jumps to the side.
Carlin shoots in for a double leg but Nyberg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nyberg lands a two punch combo.
Carlin avoids the head kick by Nyberg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nyberg lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Carlin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Carlin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Carlin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nyberg pinned against the cage. Nyberg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carlin.
Nyberg slips under a jab.

Carlin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nyberg defends it easily.

Nyberg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carlin is keeping the position for now.

Carlin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nyberg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Carlin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nyberg is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nisse Nyberg wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Nyberg moves into the clinch successfully.
Carlin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nyberg has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Carlin is trying to stall.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nyberg ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nyberg no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nisse Nyberg showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Nyberg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
