The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawlor darts in and clinches Demiuew up against the cage.
Lawlor is trying to break free.
Lawlor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lawlor wants to get back to striking at distance but Demiuew won't allow it.
Lawlor blocks an elbow strike from Demiuew.

Lawlor pulls Demiuew into guard.
Lawlor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Demiuew manages to get himself to full guard.
Lawlor is in close to Demiuew's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lawlor wants to pass the guard but Demiuew is keeping the position.
Lawlor pushes down on Demiuew's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Demiuew moves into full guard.
Lawlor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lawlor advances nicely into full mount.

Lawlor working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Demiuew looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Lawlor! Submission of the night perhaps?
