The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spatt lands with a nice body kick.
Spatt tries to bum rush BOOm with a series of wild strikes but BOOm uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Spatt misses with a double jab
and BOOm moves into the clinch.
BOOm keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Spatt's efforts to push away.
Spatt takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Dirky Spatt has been cut.
BOOm breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from BOOm is defended easily by Spatt.
Spatt throws a low kick but it's checked well by BOOm.
BOOm takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round.
BOOm blocks a head kick by Spatt.
Spatt misses with a few strikes there.
Spatt looks to land a combination. BOOm sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
BOOm shoots in looking for a takedown. Spatt tries to sprawl out of it but BOOm keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spatt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Spatt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and BOOm counters by clinching up.
BOOm manages to break the clinch.
Spatt stuffs the takedown.
Dirky Spatt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Da BOOm.
BOOm takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Spatt throws a series of punches but BOOm avoids them all with ease.
BOOm avoids the head kick by Spatt.
Spatt is breathing heavily.
BOOm shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than BOOm was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
BOOm lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
BOOm is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Spatt is forced to tap! Great finish!
